A representative of La Finestra did not immediately return What Now Seattle’s request for comment.

While La Finestra’s opening date and menu offerings have yet to be confirmed, and the overall information is limited, the name “La Finestra” translates to “The Window” in Italian. “Finestra” stems from the Latin word “fenestra,” meaning a small opening or pore, commonly connected to a window or biology references.

The owners of La Finestra started their first venture with the creation of Jack + Adeline. Both founded by Paul and Leanne Franetovich, Jack + Adeline draws inspiration from their grandparents, Jack and Adeline, who embodied the spirit of gathering around the family table and sharing their love for food. In honoring their grandparents’ legacy, Paul and Leanne embarked on a mission to create a brand that captured the essence of the “community table” in every home. Their vision was to recreate that sense of togetherness and extend it to future generations through a carefully curated selection of home decor and custom furnishings, with additional menu options featuring a bread and pastry menu, or a wine menu option, according to the company website.
