The partners behind the deal are experienced restaurant operators Imrit Chattrath and Jasdeep Singh of Puget Sound Bites, Inc.
“Our new journey with Freddy’s has been driven by a deep belief in the brand’s values and premium quality menu items,” Chattrath said in an announcement. “Their commitment to excellence solidified our decision to invest with them. We’re eager to deliver that exceptional Freddy’s dining experience to all the guests in our new markets.”
Chattrath told What Now Seattle they hope to have the first Freddy’s location in the market open by the end of 2025. They are still nailing down the specific locations, but Everett and Spanaway are two areas on their radar, he said.
Founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers now has more than 530 locations in 36 states, with another 130 in development for 2024 and 2025.
The menu includes cooked-to-order steakburgers, all-beef hot dogs, shoestring fries and other savory items, along with frozen custard treats.
The plan for 10 locations in the Seattle market is one of several new franchise agreements for the company. Freddy’s also recently announced a three-unit deal covering West Central Illinois and East Iowa, a four-unit deal in North New Jersey, and a four-unit deal in the Austin, Texas, market.
