“We are aiming to open in February or March of 2024,” co-owner and president, Htet Aung, told What Now Seattle.

“Yellow Cheek Restaurant is a Burmese Fusion restaurant business that aims to provide a unique dining experience. Our chefs creatively blend Burmese and Western flavors using fresh and high-quality ingredients.”

“Yellow Cheek Imports LLC was founded in 2019 as an online gourmet store for specialty food items from Burma (Myanmar). Yellow Cheek Restaurant will be the expansion from Yellow Cheek Imports LLC with a passion for culinary excellence and a desire to showcase the diverse flavors of Washington.”

“As food enthusiasts, we have explored various cuisines and have been inspired to create a dining establishment that offers a fusion of flavors from around the world. Our vision is to provide a memorable dining experience that combines unique dishes, handcrafted cocktails, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere,” Aung added.

According to Yellow Cheek Import’s company website, “Yellow Cheek Imports was founded when an army vet and a Burmese student married early in 2019. The veteran found himself enthralled with this ancient culture still rooted in their traditions.”

“It is our mission to help the rest of the world understand and enjoy the great Burmese culture. We founded Yellow Cheek Imports with one goal in mind: providing a high-quality, smart, and reliable online store. Our passion for excellence has driven us from the beginning and continues to drive us into the future.”
