“We don’t currently have a goal opening date yet. Our menu will include fish options, but more information will come out in the future,” owner Joseph Oketh told What Now Seattle.

The permit filing for Tausi is for spirits, wine, and beer rest lounge permission. Biz Net states that Tausi Restaurant LLC was filed for on June 7th, 2023. Krystal Okoth is also listed behind the LLC and permit filing.

According to Zillow, the property boasts 4,061 square feet of space. “Ideal for food-related businesses or spaces requiring substantial kitchen facilities, the expansive open kitchen area provides flexibility and functionality.”

For the concept’s name, the meaning of “tausi” can vary depending on the context and language. In Swahili, “tausi” refers to a peacock known for its vibrant and colorful plumage.
