A representative of The Net Sheds was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Seattle’s request.

According to the Port of Everett’s news detail, “The Port of Everett Commission has authorized two new 15-year leases with local restaurateur The Way Group Hospitality LLC to open two new restaurants at Waterfront Place – Tapped Public House and The Net Sheds, a new fish and chips restaurant with a year-round fish market. Both businesses will be located along “Restaurant Row” in Fisherman’s Harbor in two new multi-tenant buildings set to break ground early next year.”

“The Net Sheds joins Lazy Boy Brewing in a new 6,000 sq. ft. building overlooking Seiner Wharf and the commercial fishing dock at parcel A6 in Fisherman’s Harbor, situated at the corner of Seiner and West Marine View drives near the Grand Avenue Park Bridge. The two agreements secure approximately 9,500 sq. ft. of interior space between both parcels, plus an expansive outdoor deck and patio.”

“The Way Group Hospitality’s Net Sheds will offer a unique restaurant/retail concept with a fish-and-chips restaurant and bar, paired with a year-round fish market. The Net Shed name is intended to honor the history of the commercial fishing industry here. For decades, a row of sheds near this site stored nets and offered a social hub for the fishermen when commercial fishing was at its peak.”

“Our newest concept is inspired by the Port and heritage of the site, with a local and seasonally driven curated selection of world-class seafood,” Sean Drought said in the news detail. “The market and fish bar’s offerings will change daily, just like the tides. Our goal is to be able to put a quality taste and flavor on the plate that is locally grown, harvested, and caught products of our culinarily abundant region of the Puget Sound.”

The news detail goes on to add more information about The Way Group Hospitality, stating, “Established in 2019, The Way Group Hospitality is owned and operated by Sean Drought, Brian Radford, and Ivo Schilbach.”

“They own and operate the Tapped Public House restaurant brand with locations in Camano, Mill Creek, and Mukilteo. Their fourth location will be located at the Port of Everett’s Waterfront Place. They focus on Pacific Northwest-inspired house-made dishes and local craft beer, cider, and wine – they simply want Tapped to be a cool place to hang out.”

“They also operate the Primal Barbeque brand and will be adding The Net Sheds to their portfolio – a new fish-and-chips restaurant and fish market at the Port’s Waterfront Place.”
