“Our Ballard location will open at 2052 NW Market Street. Our goal for opening will be sometime in May, but stay tuned!”

“This will be the only location with a good amount of indoor seating for people to enjoy donuts and coffee and a good amount of outdoor seating. Customers can enjoy farmer markets on Sunday and can take in the historic nature of Ballard,” co-owner Sean Willis told What Now Seattle.

“Christopher Ballard and I started the business together. We started in Ballard in 2021 on a food truck, which gave us motivation to continue to open more shops due to the support from the Ballard community.”

“Dough Joy is a donut shop, but it’s more designed to be a place where you can feel welcomed and included no matter who you are or your dietary preferences. Our approach is making a great product that anyone can enjoy while also creating a welcoming space. The tagline we have started to incorporate is donuts for all, inclusive not exclusive.”

“The basic origin of Dough Joy started three years ago with opening a food truck without any food or baking experience. Customers are what make the business drive itself forward. The biggest thing I’ve noticed is almost every compliment is about the employees and the experience.”

“Dough Joy is more than a place or service or grabbing a donut. It is a full experience that people incorporate as a part of their everyday lives, and that’s something we’re grateful for and proud of.”
