A representative of Clos Bar was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Seattle’s request.

While an official opening date and what Clos Bar plans to offer have yet to be confirmed, listed on the permit filing is Proctor Wine Company LLC.

According to Washington Company Search, Proctor Wine Company LLC was incorporated on January 19th, 2024. Listed on the business file and the permit is Trevor Hamilton. Emma Hamilton is also listed on the permit filing.

Trevor is also listed as an agent for Table 253 LLC, according to Bizapedia and Washington Company Search. Table 253 LLC is behind The Table Restaurant Group.

The company website states that its food is farm-to-table Pacific Northwest fare with a distinctly Tacoma feel, with wine being from small producers, off the beaten path, and having won multiple Wine Spectator Awards.

For the property itself, the address listed for Clos Bar was previously home to The Fernseed, which has been marked as permanently closed at this address.

According to The Fernseed’s website, “As of Monday, January 15, 2024, Fernseed will be permanently closing our Proctor location at 2703 North Proctor Street. Rest assured, Fernseed is not going out of business!”

“We encourage you to visit our second (soon to be only) Tacoma location at 5243 South Tacoma Way, where we have decided to consolidate operations in a long overdue effort to streamline and simplify.”

Edit: The address was removed by request of the owner after initial publication, concept formulation is still ongoing.
