“Our target right now is late February. We’re amid a pretty large build-out so it is a bit of a moving target until we get closer. Our goal is to create a casual atmosphere for everyone in the neighborhood to hang out regularly. The space will feature a roughly 60-seat taproom and 35-seat outdoor patio operated by Figurehead,” co-owner and CEO Bob Monroe told What Now Seattle.

“Our drink menu will feature a diverse range of offerings including Figurehead beer, cider and wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic kombucha, a range of sake, and hot teas. One of the things that sold us on the space was the interior courtyard which we plan to turn into a “secret” urban oasis. We just planted a Katsura tree in the middle and plan to have a wall of live bamboo along with other plants. I think those 35 seats will be very popular in the summertime.”

When it comes to Figurehead, according to the company website, “Figurehead Brewing Company was founded in 2016 by Bob Monroe, Jesse Duncan, and Jesse Warner. Bob and Jesse Duncan have both been homebrewers for more than a decade.”

“They first met in 2009 when they became neighbors and quickly learned they shared a similar passion for brewing beer and sharing it with friends. Casual discussions over homebrews about starting a brewery gradually grew more serious, and Figurehead Brewing was born.”

“Bob met Jesse Warner during a leadership class in grad school and quickly became friends during trust falls and class retreats. They finally used those trust falls by joining up to start Figurehead Brewing.”

“Figurehead Brewing Company was established in 2016 in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle to create balanced beers to be integrated into everyday life and on the table with every meal. Beer is the greatest beverage in the world and when integrated into a person’s everyday life can bring immense pleasure and enjoyment.”

“But beyond the beverage itself, beer has been facilitating conversation and building connections for thousands of years across every continent of the world. We strive to continue this tradition by brewing local, independent beer and using it to enrich the lives of our customers, employees, and community.”

“Figurehead focuses on balanced, approachable, everyday drinking beers. Beers that are historically inspired, many with international origins, but sourced, brewed, and served locally. Beers that are simple in structure but flavorful. Beers that pair amazingly with food and can elevate a simple meal into a memorable experience.”
