According to Pizza By Ruffin’s Instagram biography, Pizza By Ruffin is a “Washington states black owned pizzeria coming to South Lake Union in Seattle fall 2024.”

Pizza By Ruffin’s Indiegogo page provides more information, “It all started with a short school bus in Northern Colorado. It was time for us to put ourselves out there and make the only possible changes from an ownership standpoint.”

“The days of sacrificing culinary integrity for the sake of the bottom line are in the past. No more running a food service operation where employees rely on the guest’s charity to make a living. This was only the beginning.”

“After two years of living in Northern Colorado, we dreamed of a brick-and-mortar pizzeria. However, we realized Colorado wasn’t going to cut it. We wanted to be in a place with a stronger culinary scene, ethnic diversity, and community. And we found it in Seattle. Then there was another bus.”

“That brings us to Pizza by Ruffin. This 500-square-foot space in the South Lake Union neighborhood in Seattle is where we will bring “pizza al taglio” to a thriving culinary city. Our space will have just under 20 seats and be open for lunch Monday through Friday. We will occasionally be open evenings and serve local beer and wine. We can’t wait to share with you our delicious pizza.”
