A representative of Buoy Up Burger Bar was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Seattle’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be released, according to the permit filing and Bizapedia, Buoy Up will come from Noble Ridge Partners LLC. Listed on the permit filing as well as the business filing is Kurt Larson as the registered agent.

Coldwell Banker Homes states that the property was formerly Kelly’s Cafe and Espresso. It is described as “Beautifully set up for a new owner to take over this fully equipped restaurant in high traffic location. Hood, griddle, deep fryers, range, convection oven, espresso machine, ice maker, and walk-in cooler. Refrigerated glass display case for ice cream too.”

“2,600 square feet and a capacity for 76 people. All inventory stays with the new owner. Located 1/2 block from the waterfront and marina, there is a lot of foot traffic, especially for Kelly’s popular ice cream. Come make your restaurant dreams a reality in a great location in scenic Gig Harbor.”

When doing a bit more research on the property, according to an article from Gig Harbor Now written in October of last year, the new home to Buoy Up was previously KettleFish before its closure. “KettleFish, which opened on Pioneer Way to great acclaim a little over a year ago, will close in the coming days, co-owner Dave Montoure said on Wednesday, Oct. 18.”

“KettleFish will also close its location in the Old Town district of the Kitsap County community of Silverdale. The exact closure date for the Gig Harbor location depends on when it runs out of its current inventory of fresh fish,” the article stated.
