MAC Entertainment Group is set to enhance its restaurant portfolio with the opening of The Press Box. The new establishment is slated to open in the Sodo area, specifically situated at 1518 1st Ave S, according to recent permit filings.
A representative of The Press Box and MAC Entertainment Group did not immediately return What Now Seattle’s request for comment.
While an opening date has yet to be confirmed, and minimal information provided about what The Press Box will look like for patrons beyond alcoholic options, Mac Entertainment Group boasts a wealth of expertise in restaurant management and hospitality operations. In 2021, MAC Entertainment Group emerged within the hospitality industry, thanks to the vision and determination of Scott and Melissa McIntire. Hailing from the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, the couple holds a combined experience of over 15 years in the field. Their first venture as managing partners of McFadden’s in 2017 propelled them to dream bigger, leading to the creation of their own original concept: The Lola Az. From the ground up, the McIntires’ meticulously designed the space, developed branding materials, handpicked furniture, and curated a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients.
