The South Lake Union restaurant will be the first Mendocino Farms location in Washington.

“With an active community and culture that thrives on wellbeing, Seattle already feels like our home,” said Kevin Miles, CEO of Mendocino Farms in a statement. “Residents have not been shy in voicing they want us to open here, so it’s exciting to serve this community that shares our love for adventurous food. At our core, we’re a restaurant dedicated to making our guests feel great, and we hope to be Seattleites’ everyday fuel of choice.”

Locals are invited to celebrate the newest addition to the neighborhood through a series of events.

For Seattleites wanting a taste of Mendocino Farms and its hospitality, the restaurant is bringing to life its mission of making hearts and stomachs happy by:

  • Offering a free entrée when guests create a My Mendo account and select “Seattle-South Lake Union” as their favorite location prior to opening day.
  • Delivering flavors that fuel via a food truck at a rotation of spots including Westlake Park, Mayor Harrell’s “One Seattle Day of Service” at Denny Park and more! Be on the lookout for this Mendo-branded vehicle handing out samples around town starting May 15.
  • Gifting the first 100 grand opening day attendees a custom Seattle tote bag filled with goodies from Monorail Espresso, restaurateur Tom Douglas and Hello Robin Cookies.
  • Hosting a free “Happy Place Block Party” in Urban Triangle Park on May 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature complimentary Spicy Curried Couscous, music from local DJ Carlos Valencia, limited-edition swag, adorable puppies available for adoption from Emerald City Pet Rescue and more. Monorail Espresso will join the celebration, serving free samples from their signature Espresso Cart.

Dedicated to strengthening the communities it serves, Mendocino Farms is donating 50% of opening day proceeds to Mary’s Place to ensure that no child sleeps outside.

Mendocino Farms menu hosts a range of sandwiches and salads with whole ingredients and unique flavor combinations.

“At Mendocino Farms, only the best makes your plate,” said Miles. “We source the highest-quality ingredients since we believe that you can’t have bold dishes featuring unexpected flavors without them.”
