“We are hoping to be able to open in the upcoming months, but we’re still unsure. Hopefully August,” Phu told What Now Seattle, “We will be offering traditional, old-school Vietnamese menu options and aesthetics at Lang Viet. We are currently working on building a website, so check back soon!”

Lang Viet will be offering single course options, as well as family plates that would offer 5-6 different portions in the combo. For those that are unfamiliar, Vietnamese cuisine is known for its vibrant flavors, fresh ingredients, and diverse culinary traditions.

The country’s rich history, geography, and cultural influences have shaped a distinctive food culture that is loved and appreciated by people around the world. Traditional Vietnamese food showcases a harmonious balance of flavors, textures, and colors. Some of these food options are pho, banh mi, spring rolls, and bun cha.

Pho is arguably Vietnam’s most iconic dish. It consists of a flavorful broth, rice noodles, and various combinations of beef or chicken. Topped with fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and lime, it offers a harmonious blend of textures and tastes.

Banh Mi, a Vietnamese sandwich, combines French and Vietnamese influences. A crispy baguette is filled with a combination of grilled meats, pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and sauces, creating a symphony of flavors.

Spring Rolls, also known as Goi Cuon, are fresh and healthy rolls made by wrapping rice paper around a medley of ingredients such as shrimp, pork, rice vermicelli, lettuce, and herbs. They are often served with a peanut dipping sauce.

Bun Cha is a dish originating from Hanoi. Bun Cha consists of grilled pork patties served over rice noodles, accompanied by fresh herbs, pickled vegetables, and a tangy dipping sauce.
