A representative of El Camino Tacoma did not immediately return What Now Seattle’s request for comment.
While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, it seems that this will be the second location for El Camino in the Seattle area. For over 25 years, El Camino Mexican Restaurant & Cantina has been in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood.
Situated next to the iconic “Rocket” at the intersection of Evanston and North 35th Street, El Camino offers a unique experience with its authentic, homemade Mexican cuisine that pays homage to the vibrant and fresh flavors of Oaxaca and southern Mexico.
At El Camino, patrons can indulge in a wide array of delectable dishes that showcase the richness and authenticity of Mexican cuisine. Described as being renowned throughout the city, their traditional margaritas perfectly complement their flavorful menu. Whether it’s the bold and spicy bistec de capitalino or the fusion of Northwest ingredients with wild sockeye salmon in tamarindo sauce, each dish is crafted to deliver an unforgettable culinary experience.
Guests can also savor their appetizers, such as the four-cheese shrimp quesadilla or the combination of plantain chips with their succulent house-made guacamole. To complete the meal, they proudly serve traditional desserts prepared in-house, providing a sweet conclusion to an extraordinary dining experience, according to the company website.
Editor’s Note: Despite previous information from the permit filing, we are currently waiting for an update of information on this restaurant, as the owner of El Camino Mexican Restaurant & Cantina denies an additional location opening.
