“The lease for the space is expected to be finalized in the next week or two,” Fugere said in an interview on Wednesday. That’s not all, however. During a walk-through of Tutta Bella’s newest location, Fugere noticed both a lobby bar and shop space.
After a creative pitch to the landlord, the Italian-cuisine restaurant will have a bundled lease as a “hospitality suite” and will be running both the bar and shop as well. Breaking this news to What Now Seattle, Fugere described the bar to have a European-style with food service called Lobby Bar at REN that will act as as sort of speakeasy for the development given its location inside. The shop will be used as a coffee shop and small retail space with no set name yet.
“We’re allowing ourselves to have a little fun,” he said speaking on this new venture. The bar already has a world-traveled, head bartender in place mixing up some amazing recipes. Exotic doughnuts are in the works for the coffee shop to really “push some boundaries.”
The three concepts respectively are planed to open throughout 2023 in the order of Lobby Bar at REN, the coffee shop and retail space, then Tutta Bella.
